Leopoldo M. Clemente

Leopoldo has over 40 years of active involvement in the world of private equity, finance, securities analysis, portfolio management and quantitative research. He has served as President and Chief Investment Officer of Clemente Capital for the past 25 years. Prior to joining the Clemente Group, he served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Van Eck Management in New York where he was responsible for the World Trends Fund, an open-ended global mutual fund. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager and member of the Investment Policy Committee at Eberstadt Asset Management, where he was responsible for the firm’s investment in worldwide markets and managed the Eberstadt’s International Fund. He has also served as Investment Research Officer at Marine Midland Bank and a Senior Investment Analyst at Merrill Lynch where he specialized in foreign stocks, technology, metals and mining industries.

Leopoldo earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines and an MBA from Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University and did doctoral work in Finance at the University of Chicago.
